{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-41-5806","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 41-5806","heading":"License qualifications.","body":"(1) Before issuing a public adjuster license to an applicant under this section, the department shall find that the applicant:\n(a) Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n(b) Is eligible to designate this state as his or her home state or is a nonresident who is eligible for a license under section 41-5809, Idaho Code;\n(c) Has successfully passed the public adjuster examination;\n(d) Has not committed any act that is a ground for denial, suspension or revocation of a license as set forth in section 41-5811, Idaho Code;\n(e) Is trustworthy, reliable, and of good reputation, evidence of which may be determined by the department;\n(f) Is financially responsible to exercise the license and has provided proof of financial responsibility as required in section 41-5812, Idaho Code;\n(g) Has paid the fees set forth by rule adopted pursuant to section 41-401, Idaho Code; and\n(h) Maintains an office in the home state of residence with public access by reasonable appointment and/or regular business hours. This includes a designated office within a home state of residence.\n(2) In addition to satisfying the requirements of subsection (1), when applicable, a business entity shall:\n(a) Designate a licensed individual public adjuster responsible for the business entity’s compliance with the insurance laws and rules of this state;\n(b) Designate only licensed individual public adjusters to exercise the business entity’s license; and\n(c) The department may require any documents reasonably necessary to verify the information contained in the application.","path":["TITLE 41 INSURANCE","CHAPTER 58 PUBLIC ADJUSTER LICENSING ACT"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title41/t41ch58/sect41-5806/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:21:02Z","sha256":"c71d8726b015da5c9c3f890d5583da34d2a447d5b29e932c39417a1f6491dda7","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-41-5805","next":"us-id/idaho-code-41-5807"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
