[EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2027]","body":"(1) If reasonable persons would be misled to believe that they are interacting with a human, an operator shall clearly and conspicuously disclose that the conversational AI service is artificial intelligence.\n(2) An operator shall adopt a protocol for the conversational AI service to respond to user prompts regarding suicidal ideation that includes but is not limited to making reasonable efforts to provide a response to users that refers them to crisis service providers such as a suicide hotline, crisis text line, or other appropriate crisis services.\n(3) An operator shall not knowingly and intentionally cause or program a conversational AI service to make any representation or statement that explicitly indicates that the conversational AI service is designed to provide professional mental or behavioral health care.","path":["TITLE 48 MONOPOLIES AND TRADE PRACTICES","CHAPTER 21 [22] CONVERSATIONAL AI SAFETY ACT [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2027]"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title48/t48ch22/sect48-2203/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T14:19:04Z","sha256":"752c0ca541808d8e324ff60966c2b4a379c45646176a2b579654ad79a215e132","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-48-2202","next":"us-id/idaho-code-48-2204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
