{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-49-708","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 49-708","heading":"Pedestrians on highways.","body":"(1) Where a sidewalk is provided and its use is practicable, it shall be unlawful for any pedestrian to walk along and upon an adjacent roadway.\n(2) Where a sidewalk is not available, any pedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall walk only on a shoulder, as far as practicable from the edge of the roadway.\n(3) Where neither a sidewalk nor a shoulder is available, any pedestrian walking along and upon a highway shall walk as near as practicable to an outside edge of the roadway, and, if on a two-way highway, shall walk only on the left side of the highway.\n(4) Except as otherwise provided in this title, any pedestrian upon a roadway shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles upon the roadway.","path":["TITLE 49 MOTOR VEHICLES","CHAPTER 7 PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title49/t49ch7/sect49-708/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:22:25Z","sha256":"6ae36305a6ced1cd1807d7a53e692cbdc7223cc6a8e5abd3bd35507a89bee358","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-49-707","next":"us-id/idaho-code-49-709"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
