{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-50-2601","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 50-2601","heading":"Authorization — Purposes — Special assessments.","body":"The legislature hereby authorizes all incorporated cities:\n(1) To establish business improvement districts, hereafter referred to as district or districts, for the following purposes:\n(a) The acquisition, construction or maintenance of parking facilities for the benefit of the district;\n(b) Physical improvement and decoration of any public space in the district;\n(c) Promotion of public events which are to take place on or in public places in the district;\n(d) The acquisition and operation of transportation services to promote retail trade activities within the district; and\n(e) The general promotion of retail trade activities in the district.\n(2) To levy special assessments on all businesses or business property within the district and specially benefited by a business improvement district to pay the damages or costs incurred therein as provided in this chapter.","path":["TITLE 50 MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS","CHAPTER 26 BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title50/t50ch26/sect50-2601/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:22:42Z","sha256":"1921b862995de45493f2b8e083e8325a358e5dce89ef614a3a1adf329e1850e4","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-50-2523","next":"us-id/idaho-code-50-2602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
