{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-51-112","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 51-112","heading":"NOTARIAL ACT UNDER AUTHORITY OF FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED INDIAN TRIBE.","body":"(1) A notarial act performed under the authority and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized Indian tribe has the same effect as if performed by a notary public of this state if the act performed in the jurisdiction of the tribe is performed by:\n(a) A notary public of the tribe; or\n(b) Any other individual authorized by the law of the tribe to perform the notarial act.\n(2) The signature and title of an individual performing a notarial act under the authority and in the jurisdiction of a federally recognized Indian tribe are prima facie evidence that the signature is genuine and that the individual holds the designated title.\n(3) The signature and title of a notarial officer described in subsection (1)(a) or (b) of this section conclusively establish the authority of the officer to perform the notarial act.","path":["TITLE 51 NOTARIES PUBLIC AND COMMISSIONERS OF DEEDS","CHAPTER 1 REVISED UNIFORM LAW ON NOTARIAL ACTS (2018)"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title51/t51ch1/sect51-112/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:22:44Z","sha256":"f479f34127d96a19edc242efc5bfce86c9f87858ebaa5ac11782ce22cb53cbc9","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-51-111","next":"us-id/idaho-code-51-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
