{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-54-1520","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 54-1520","heading":"license — Qualifications of applicants — issuance.","body":"(1) Every applicant for a license to practice optometry shall:\n(a) Not have been convicted, found guilty, or received a withheld judgment or suspended sentence in this state or in any other state of a crime that is deemed relevant in accordance with section 67-9411(1), Idaho Code;\n(b) Be more than twenty-one (21) years of age;\n(c) Present certified evidence of graduation from an accredited college or university of optometry that meets the requirements in rules of the board;\n(d) Pass an examination as provided in rules of the board; and\n(e) Be certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents as provided in section 54-1501(3), Idaho Code, and in rules of the board.\n(2) An applicant meeting the qualifications required in this chapter shall be issued a license to practice optometry in this state.","path":["TITLE 54 PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, AND BUSINESSES","CHAPTER 15 OPTOMETRISTS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title54/t54ch15/sect54-1520/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:22:51Z","sha256":"1d46bc16aa2884a6b1b0d2eb00c45205822bdc691a795e36974631b25395bcdb","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-54-1519","next":"us-id/idaho-code-54-1521"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
