{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-54-5509","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 54-5509","heading":"client protection — unprofessional conduct.","body":"A licensed midwife or applicant for licensure, renewal, or reinstatement may not:\n(1) Disregard a client’s dignity or right to privacy as to her person, condition, possessions, or medical record;\n(2) Breach any legal requirement of confidentiality with respect to a client, unless ordered by a court of law;\n(3) Submit a birth certificate known by the person to be false or fraudulent or willfully make or file false or incomplete reports or records in the practice of midwifery;\n(4) Fail to provide information sufficient to allow a client to give fully informed consent;\n(5) Engage in the practice of midwifery while impaired because of the use of alcoholic beverages or drugs; or\n(6) Violate any other standards of conduct as determined by the board in rules adopted for the regulation of the practice of midwifery.","path":["TITLE 54 PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, AND BUSINESSES","CHAPTER 55 MIDWIFERY"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title54/t54ch55/sect54-5509/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:23:07Z","sha256":"635efbe3969700f9c865bc7d8cefcfb177d07e3009cbdac5eacaf4108c5837bb","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-54-5508","next":"us-id/idaho-code-54-5510"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
