{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-56-2302","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 56-2302","heading":"registration requirements.","body":"(1) A clinical laboratory shall register with the department of health and welfare on a department form prior to accepting specimens for testing.\n(2) Registered clinical laboratories shall submit a completed registration form every two (2) years and indicate any changes in laboratory operations.\n(3) To be registered, a clinical laboratory shall submit evidence of certification from one (1) of the following:\n(a) The centers for medicare and medicaid services (CMS) clinical laboratory improvement amendments certification program;\n(b) An agency approved by CMS as an accreditation program; or\n(c) Other certification programs approved by the department of health and welfare.\n(4) The following laboratories and facilities are excluded from compliance with this chapter:\n(a) Teaching, research, forensic, and pre-employment drug screening laboratories, if test results are not used for diagnosis or treatment;\n(b) Prosthetic dental laboratories; and\n(c) Facilities performing skin testing solely for the detection of allergies and sensitivities.","path":["TITLE 56 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE AND WELFARE","CHAPTER 23 QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR CLINICAL LABORATORIES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title56/t56ch23/sect56-2302/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T13:53:24Z","sha256":"3e38f3b66b839012d78fb6407787fb38ad46159c34227b314a60648f4424a295","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-56-2301","next":"us-id/idaho-code-56-2303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
