{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-7-1069","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 7-1069","heading":"MODIFICATION OF CONVENTION CHILD-SUPPORT ORDER.","body":"(1) A tribunal of this state may not modify a convention child-support order if the obligee remains a resident of the foreign country where the support order was issued unless:\n(a) The obligee submits to the jurisdiction of a tribunal of this state, either expressly or by defending on the merits of the case without objecting to the jurisdiction at the first available opportunity; or\n(b) The foreign tribunal lacks or refuses to exercise jurisdiction to modify its support order or issue a new support order.\n(2) If a tribunal of this state does not modify a convention child-support order because the order is not recognized in this state, section 7-1066(3), Idaho Code, applies.","path":["TITLE 7 SPECIAL PROCEEDINGS","CHAPTER 10 UNIFORM INTERSTATE FAMILY SUPPORT ACT"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title7/t7ch10/sect7-1069/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:16:28Z","sha256":"051b79dd8fc19945255a079776428081605712359ae1f9efb440416dce6f00f0","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-7-1068","next":"us-id/idaho-code-7-1070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
