{"data":{"id":"us-il/110-ilcs-930-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"110 ILCS 930/10","heading":"Conditions of award.","body":"(a) As used in this Section, \"good faith effort\" includes actively seeking employment and maintaining contact with the institutional representative and Program Board.\n(b) Conditions for acceptance of a DFI award are that the recipient shall agree to do the following:\n(1) accept a teaching or nonteaching full-time appointment at an Illinois institution of higher education;\n(2) accept a position as an employee of this State in an administrative, educational-related position, as determined by the Program Board, for the period equal to the number of years that he or she was a participant in the DFI; such positions shall include, without limitation, administrative positions in State elementary, secondary, or higher education agencies; or\n(3) make a good faith effort to secure such a position for a time period of no less than 5 years.","path":["CHAPTER 110 HIGHER EDUCATION","Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1157\u0026ChapterID=18\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:28Z","sha256":"fcf4d42da9ed96fba41925b72dd620b9cdb772a6332f618e4d737daa17444c68","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/110-ilcs-930-9","next":"us-il/110-ilcs-930-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
