{"data":{"id":"us-il/110-ilcs-967-10-20","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"110 ILCS 967/10-20","heading":"Eligibility.","body":"(a) The Commission shall, on an annual basis, receive and consider applications for grant assistance under the program. An applicant is eligible for a grant under the program if the Commission finds that the applicant:\n(1) is a United States citizen or permanent resident;\n(2) is a resident of Illinois;\n(3) has worked for at least 12 consecutive months as a nurse educator in an approved program of professional or practical nursing education in Illinois;\n(4) is a borrower with an outstanding balance due on an educational loan; and\n(5) has not defaulted on an educational loan.\n(b) Preference may be given to previous recipients of a grant under the program, provided that the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements set forth in this Section.\n(c) A recipient of a grant under the program must fulfill a separate 12-month period as a nurse educator in an approved program of professional or practical nursing education in Illinois for each grant that he or she is awarded.","path":["CHAPTER 110 HIGHER EDUCATION","Nurse Educator Assistance Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=2813\u0026ChapterID=18\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:28Z","sha256":"cc2c59ad55f238ea0a31e7e876fa83112d8ba9217d1e44e75fe22320eae67c6d","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/110-ilcs-967-10-15","next":"us-il/110-ilcs-967-15-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
