No EISA shall include any of the following in its definition of income:\n(1) the income of the consumer's spouse, children, or dependents or a party to a civil union with the consumer under the Illinois Religious Freedom and Civil Union Act; or\n(2) any amount paid by the consumer under Title II or XVI of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. 401 et seq. or 42 U.S.C. 1381 et seq., or under a State program funded by Title IV of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. 601 et seq;\n(3) individual retirement account distributions;\n(4) pensions and annuities;\n(5) social security benefits;\n(6) any sources of government aid provided to individuals, including, but not limited to:\n(A) unemployment programs;\n(B) disaster relief programs;\n(C) Medicare or Medicaid benefits;\n(D) benefits received through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program;\n(E) economic impact payments;\n(F) the earned income tax credit or child tax credit;\n(G) other income excluded from the definition of taxable income set forth by the Internal Revenue Service; or\n(H) passive income that is not derived as a result of a consumer's active participation in any trade or business.","path":["CHAPTER 110 HIGHER EDUCATION","Student Loan Servicing Rights Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=3830\u0026ChapterID=18\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:28Z","sha256":"f64604f75a6e65c7dc077a98be5c4d0789a7556837de5dc76c61bc7e2c95e740","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/110-ilcs-992-7-25","next":"us-il/110-ilcs-992-7-35"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
