{"data":{"id":"us-il/15-ilcs-510-6","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"15 ILCS 510/6","heading":"Division of Personnel - duties and responsibilities.","body":"The Division shall have the following duties and responsibilities:\n(a) To apply and carry out this Code and the rules adopted hereunder;\n(b) To schedule and attend meetings of the Personnel Review Board;\n(c) To establish and maintain a roster of all employees subject to this Code, which shall include for each employee the class, title, pay status, and other pertinent data;\n(d) To make appointments to vacancies, to approve all written charges seeking discharge, demotion, or other disciplinary measures provided in this Code and to approve transfers of employees;\n(e) To develop and administer policies and programs for the improvement of employee effectiveness, including training, safety, health, incentive recognition, counseling, welfare and employee relations;\n(f) To conduct negotiations affecting pay, hours of work, or other working conditions of employees subject to this Code;\n(g) To investigate from time to time the operation and effect of this Code and the rules made hereunder and to report findings and recommendations to the Board and the Treasurer;\n(h) To enter into agreements with professional or educational organizations or the Department of Central Management Services for the purpose of obtaining professional or technical assistance in the administration of this Code;\n(i) To perform any other lawful acts necessary or desirable to carry out the purposes and provisions of this Code.","path":["CHAPTER 15 EXECUTIVE OFFICERS","State Treasurer Employment Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=211\u0026ChapterID=4\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:13Z","sha256":"ffdec225c9e44ba18b010a69604bc7a13b374eacb19e41e2abaffcd448893765","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/15-ilcs-510-5a","next":"us-il/15-ilcs-510-6a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
