The policy shall provide that improvements will be made during routine maintenance and within a distance of 500 feet of the maintenance work to any State roads within a municipality to include, but not be limited to, high visibility signage, crosswalk improvements, curb bump outs, barrier protected bike lanes, and bus shelters.\nBeginning January 1, 2024, the Department shall provide a semi-annual report to the General Assembly on pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements on non-highway State routes that have been initiated, are in progress, or are recently completed. The Department shall provide the reports every June 30th and January 1st thereafter.","path":["CHAPTER 20 EXECUTIVE BRANCH","Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
