{"data":{"id":"us-il/20-ilcs-301-55-25","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"20 ILCS 301/55-25","heading":"Drug court grant program.","body":"(a) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall establish a program to administer grants to local drug courts. Grant moneys may be used for the following purposes:\n(1) treatment or other clinical intervention through an appropriately licensed provider;\n(2) monitoring, supervision, and clinical case management via probation, Department Designated Programs, or licensed treatment providers;\n(3) transportation of the offender to required appointments;\n(4) interdisciplinary and other training of both clinical and legal professionals who are involved in the local drug court;\n(5) other activities including data collection related to drug court operation and purchase of software or other administrative tools to assist in the overall management of the local system; or\n(6) court appointed special advocate programs.\n(b) The position of Statewide Drug Court Coordinator is created as a full-time position within the Department. The Statewide Drug Court Coordinator shall be responsible for the following:\n(1) coordinating training, technical assistance, and overall support to drug courts in Illinois;\n(2) assisting in the development of new drug courts and advising local partnerships on appropriate practices;\n(3) collecting data from local drug court partnerships on drug court operations and aggregating that data into an annual report to be presented to the General Assembly; and\n(4) acting as a liaison between the State and the Illinois Association of Drug Court Professionals.","path":["CHAPTER 20 EXECUTIVE BRANCH","Substance Use Disorder Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=232\u0026ChapterID=5\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:13Z","sha256":"bd988451ef53f2cff1581bf12a5ffef459fba5eace9b5b6a3911410d7d12188a","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/20-ilcs-301-55-20","next":"us-il/20-ilcs-301-55-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
