{"data":{"id":"us-il/20-ilcs-4136-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"20 ILCS 4136/10","heading":"Membership.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2028)\n(a) The Commission shall include the following members:\n(1) one or more member of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate, subject to the provisions of subsection (b);\n(2) one or more member of the Senate appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate, subject to the provisions of subsection (b);\n(3) one or more member of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, subject to the provisions of subsection (b);\n(4) one or more member of the House of Representatives appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, subject to the provisions of subsection (b);\n(5) one member appointed by the Governor representing the Governor's Office; and\n(6) the following members appointed by the Governor as follows:\n(A) 2 people with experience running or coaching a nonprofit organization whose mission is to leverage sport for youth development;\n(B) 2 people with experience in the development of policies or the funding or evaluation of programs that elevate underserved youth;\n(C) one person with experience in adaptive sports programming;\n(D) one person with experience coaching or administering youth sports programs for one or more school sports teams or sports club;\n(E) one person who is a parent or caregiver of a child who participates in sports programming;\n(F) one person with experience training coaches in positive youth development; and\n(G) one representative of a school athletic association in this State or a physical education teacher.\n(b) More than 4 members of the General Assembly may be appointed to serve on the Commission if the number of members appointed at any time, except in the case of a vacancy, equally represent the majority and minority caucus of each chamber.\n(c) The Governor shall select the chairperson of the Commission from among the appointed members.","path":["CHAPTER 20 EXECUTIVE BRANCH","Commission on Youth Sports Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=4617\u0026ChapterID=5\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:17Z","sha256":"1991aa77d06a185b9c2c176f2ca3dbc737ff85a5f43428d93f5c723d6fd84abd","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/20-ilcs-4136-5","next":"us-il/20-ilcs-4136-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
