{"data":{"id":"us-il/20-ilcs-4138-20","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"20 ILCS 4138/20","heading":"Membership; compensation.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2028)\n(a) The Task Force shall consist of the following voting members:\n(1) 4 members of the General Assembly:\n(A) one member, who shall serve as Chairperson, appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives;\n(B) one member, who shall serve as Vice-Chairperson, appointed by the President of the Senate;\n(C) one member appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate;\n(D) one member appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives;\n(2) the Director of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency or the Director's designee;\n(3) the Director of Public Health or the Director's designee;\n(4) the Secretary of Human Services or the Secretary's designee;\n(5) the Secretary of Transportation or the Secretary's designee;\n(6) the Director of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security or the Director's designee;\n(7) the Director of Insurance or the Director's designee;\n(8) the Chairman of the Illinois Commerce Commission or the Chairman's designee;\n(9) one representative from labor organizations, appointed by the Governor;\n(10) one representative from community-based organizations working on affordable housing or transportation or other essential services, appointed by the Governor;\n(11) one representative from immigrant rights organizations, appointed by the Governor;\n(12) one representative from environmental justice organizations, appointed by the Governor;\n(13) 2 representatives of academic institutions with experience in climate change, environmental science, urban planning, or any combination of those 3 fields of study, appointed by the Governor; and\n(14) any other additional members appointed under Section 10.\n(b) The members of the Task Force shall serve without compensation.","path":["CHAPTER 20 EXECUTIVE BRANCH","Climate Displacement Task Force Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=4619\u0026ChapterID=5\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:17Z","sha256":"8d2bbff6aa4f75c4cd91ecc398c9e401c0c9219f3ed2cfc7ad555fde0c375967","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/20-ilcs-4138-15","next":"us-il/20-ilcs-4138-90"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
