{"data":{"id":"us-il/205-ilcs-700-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"205 ILCS 700/10","heading":"Application of Act.","body":"This Act shall not preempt:\n(1) the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed to relieve any holder, including a financial institution, from reporting and remitting all unclaimed property, including deposit accounts, under the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act;\n(2) the Uniform Commercial Code, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the Uniform Commercial Code;\n(3) the provisions of Section 2-1402 of the Code of Civil Procedure, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under Section 2-1402 of the Code of Civil Procedure;\n(4) the provisions of Part 7 of Article II of the Code of Civil Procedure, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the provisions of Part 7 of Article II of the Code of Civil Procedure;\n(5) the provisions of Article XXV of the Probate Act of 1975, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the provisions of Article XXV of the Probate Act of 1975; or\n(6) the Safety Deposit Box Opening Act, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the Safety Deposit Box Opening Act.","path":["CHAPTER 205 FINANCIAL REGULATION","Adverse Claims to Deposit Accounts Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1210\u0026ChapterID=20\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:29Z","sha256":"6d43faf5a9c909d54860a32acb65bd5913b75b6781ab9405ab5dba5dbe0a8a8a","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/205-ilcs-700-5","next":"us-il/205-ilcs-700-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
