{"data":{"id":"us-il/210-ilcs-170-60","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"210 ILCS 170/60","heading":"Rules.","body":"(a) The Department shall adopt rules for the administration and enforcement of this Act.\n(b) Rules adopted by the Department under this Act shall stipulate:\n(1) the eligibility criteria for birth center admission that are consistent with accreditation standards and the certified nurse midwife's or physician's scope of practice;\n(2) the necessary equipment for emergency care according to the Commission for Accreditation of Birth Centers' standards;\n(3) the minimum elements required in the transfer agreement between a birth center and a receiving birth hospital with at least a Level 1 perinatal designation, including the amount of travel time between facilities in rural and nonrural areas, the staff required to transfer patients, and the mode of emergency transportation between facilities; and\n(4) the equipment used by the birth center to ensure that it is compatible with the health and safety of the patients.","path":["CHAPTER 210 HEALTH FACILITIES AND REGULATION","Birth Center Licensing Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=4204\u0026ChapterID=21\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:30Z","sha256":"ab07c6b8c7da2b707525c8a498f1f9313716526b36f5084508ea70b9928af0d7","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/210-ilcs-170-55","next":"us-il/210-ilcs-170-99"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
