{"data":{"id":"us-il/215-ilcs-136-25","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"215 ILCS 136/25","heading":"Suspension or revocation of license and other penalties.","body":"If a vendor of portable electronics or its employee or authorized representative violates any provision of this Act, then the Director may do any of the following:\n(1) take any action in accordance with Section 500-70 of the Illinois Insurance Code;\n(2) impose other penalties that the Director deems necessary and reasonable to carry out the purpose of this Act, including, but not limited to:\n(A) suspending the privilege of transacting portable electronics insurance pursuant to this Section at specific business locations where violations have occurred; and\n(B) suspending or revoking the ability of individual employees or authorized representatives to act under the license.\nA supervising entity that violates any provision of this Act shall be subject to all appropriate regulatory action as set forth in the Illinois Insurance Code.","path":["CHAPTER 215 INSURANCE","Portable Electronics Insurance Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=3369\u0026ChapterID=22\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:30Z","sha256":"32bee86d999858241a51f94f6afc68f925d934b8ede706ad42b8ba90a5b7ac31","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/215-ilcs-136-20","next":"us-il/215-ilcs-136-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
