{"data":{"id":"us-il/215-ilcs-5-123d-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"215 ILCS 5/123D-10","heading":"Organization of nonprofit risk organizations.","body":"(a) A company organized pursuant to Articles III or IV, including such companies organized as a risk retention group in this State pursuant to Article VIIB of this Code, that satisfies the requirements of this Article may be organized as a nonprofit risk organization.\n(b) Notwithstanding any contrary provision in subsection A of Section 123B-3 of this Code, a nonprofit risk organization may be organized as a reciprocal insurance company and qualify for organization under Article VIIB as a risk retention group.\n(c) No nonprofit risk organization issued a certificate of authority pursuant to this Article shall be converted into a corporation or other entity organized for pecuniary profit or into a for-profit organization of any kind.","path":["CHAPTER 215 INSURANCE","Illinois Insurance Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1249\u0026ChapterID=22\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:30Z","sha256":"1687309b638432902f710c095ea02da739b324c6029451cefac92622ddb7ba46","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/215-ilcs-5-123d-5","next":"us-il/215-ilcs-5-123d-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
