{"data":{"id":"us-il/220-ilcs-5-13-709","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"220 ILCS 5/13-709","heading":"Orders of correction.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030)\n(a) A telecommunications carrier shall comply with orders of correction issued by the Department of Public Health under Section 5 of the Illinois Plumbing License Law.\n(b) Upon receiving notification from the Department of Public Health that a telecommunications carrier has failed to comply with an order of correction, the Illinois Commerce Commission shall enforce the order.\n(c) The good faith compliance by a telecommunications carrier with an order of the Department of Public Health or Illinois Commerce Commission to terminate service pursuant to Section 5 of the Illinois Plumbing License Law shall constitute a complete defense to any civil action brought against the telecommunications carrier arising from the termination of service.","path":["CHAPTER 220 UTILITIES","Public Utilities Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1277\u0026ChapterID=23\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:30Z","sha256":"a1a759d6877dc38baae3ccf130d59df7821d1211bad05c9eb23dfd872f645f97","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/220-ilcs-5-13-708","next":"us-il/220-ilcs-5-13-712"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
