{"data":{"id":"us-il/225-ilcs-235-3.25","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"225 ILCS 235/3.25","heading":"","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2029)\n\"Integrated pest management\" is defined as a pest management system that includes the following elements:\n(a) identifying pests and their natural enemies;\n(b) establishing an ongoing monitoring and recordkeeping system for regular sampling and assessment of pest and natural enemy populations;\n(c) determining the pest population levels that can be tolerated based on aesthetic, economic, and health concerns, and setting action thresholds where pest populations or environmental conditions warrant remedial action;\n(d) the prevention of pest problems through improved sanitation, management of waste, addition of physical barriers, and the modification of habitats that attract or harbor pests;\n(e) reliance to the greatest extent possible on nontoxic, biological, cultural or mechanical pest management methods, or on the use of natural control agents;\n(f) when necessary, the use of chemical pesticides, with preference for products that are the least harmful to human health and the environment; and\n(g) recordkeeping and reporting of pest populations, surveillance techniques, and remedial actions taken.","path":["CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS","Structural Pest Control Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1339\u0026ChapterID=24\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:31Z","sha256":"a32a5ae2b7620839a61631a77d43a36609d26383a662660e20ce7bb3dceb57e2","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/225-ilcs-235-3.24","next":"us-il/225-ilcs-235-3.26"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
