{"data":{"id":"us-il/225-ilcs-407-10-30","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"225 ILCS 407/10-30","heading":"Renewal and continuing education.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2030)\n(a) License expiration dates, renewal periods, renewal fees, and procedures for renewal of licenses issued under this Act shall be set by rule of the Department. The holder of a license under this Act may renew the license within 90 days preceding the license's expiration date by completing and submitting to the Department a renewal application in a manner prescribed by the Department and paying the required fees.\n(b) All individual renewal applicants must provide proof as determined by the Department of having met the continuing education requirements by the deadline set forth by the Department by rule. At a minimum, the rules shall require an applicant for renewal licensure as an auctioneer to provide proof of the completion of at least 12 hours of continuing education during the period established by the Department for completion of continuing education from schools approved by the Department, as established by rule.\n(c) (Blank).\n(c-5) The expiration date and renewal period for an auction firm shall be set by rule. An auction firm whose license under this Act has expired may renew the license for a period of 2 years following the expiration date by complying with the requirements of this Section and paying any late penalties established by rule.\n(d) (Blank).\n(e) The Department shall not issue or renew a license if the applicant or licensee has an unpaid fine or fee from a disciplinary matter or from a non-disciplinary action imposed by the Department until the fine or fee is paid to the Department or the applicant or licensee has entered into a payment plan and is current on the required payments.\n(f) The Department shall not issue or renew a license if the applicant or licensee has an unpaid fine or civil penalty imposed by the Department for unlicensed practice until the fine or civil penalty is paid to the Department or the applicant or licensee has entered into a payment plan and is current on the required payments.","path":["CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS","Auction License Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1350\u0026ChapterID=24\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:31Z","sha256":"90bc16b4d0899b7d52b6ccf2b11fc7640f9c4655090b3a29e2cb255fa2447d93","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/225-ilcs-407-10-27","next":"us-il/225-ilcs-407-10-35"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
