{"data":{"id":"us-il/225-ilcs-410-3c-3","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"225 ILCS 410/3C-3","heading":"Licensure as a nail technology teacher; qualifications.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2031)\n(a) A person is qualified to receive a license as a nail technology teacher if that person has filed an application on forms provided by the Department, paid the required fee, and:\n(1) is at least 18 years of age;\n(2) has graduated from high school or its equivalent;\n(3) has a current license as a cosmetologist or nail technician;\n(4) has either: (1) completed a program of 500 hours of teacher training in a licensed school of nail technology or cosmetology, and had 2 years of practical experience as a nail technician; or (2) has completed a program of 625 hours of teacher training in a licensed school of cosmetology approved to teach nail technology or school of nail technology;\n(5) who has passed an examination authorized by the Department to determine eligibility to receive a license as a cosmetology or nail technology teacher; and\n(6) has met any other requirements of this Act and any applicable rules.\n(b) An applicant who receives a license as a nail technology teacher shall not be required to maintain a license as a nail technician.","path":["CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS","Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Act of 1985."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1351\u0026ChapterID=24\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:31Z","sha256":"80ab5418fe7d7cb515b09e7e8c9ca06a647a5021332dede569b1a38d59729a2e","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/225-ilcs-410-3c-2","next":"us-il/225-ilcs-410-3c-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
