{"data":{"id":"us-il/225-ilcs-610-11","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"225 ILCS 610/11","heading":"","body":"A licensee shall comply with the following requirements when disposing of bodies or parts of bodies of dead animals, poultry or fish:\n(a) All bodies or parts of bodies of all dead animals, poultry or fish shall be processed or disposed of within 48 hours after delivery to the plant;\n(b) The skinning and dismembering of bodies or parts of bodies shall be done within an approved building;\n(c) Cooking vats shall be airtight, except for proper escapes for steam;\n(d) Odors shall be controlled and steam disposed of in such manner to be in compliance with the Environmental Protection Act;\n(e) Such portions of bodies not entirely consumed by cooking shall be disposed of in such a manner to comply with the Environmental Protection Act;\n(f) All licensed establishments shall institute salmonella control measures as the Department may request to aid in minimizing and eliminating contamination of the finished product; and\n(g) The licensee shall maintain adequate facilities for storage of the finished product.","path":["CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS","Animal Mortality Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1376\u0026ChapterID=24\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:32Z","sha256":"e996870a0ff5954525998f2096d88aa779a3732104e5f4cd89e4bac922dcfef2","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/225-ilcs-610-10","next":"us-il/225-ilcs-610-12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
