{"data":{"id":"us-il/225-ilcs-640-2","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"225 ILCS 640/2","heading":"","body":"No person shall hold, operate, conduct, or carry on a livestock auction market in this State without first securing a license therefor from the Department. The application for such license shall be on forms prescribed and furnished by the Department and shall set forth:\n(a) The name of the operator of the livestock auction market;\n(b) The location of the establishment or premises where the livestock auction market is to be conducted;\n(c) The type or kinds of livestock to be handled, sold, or exchanged;\n(d) A description of the facilities to be used in conducting such livestock auction market;\n(e) The name of the accredited veterinarian who will supervise such market; and\n(f) Such other information as the Department reasonably may require.\nSuch application shall be accompanied by a bond and the required fee as hereinafter provided.","path":["CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS","Livestock Auction Market Law."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1382\u0026ChapterID=24\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:32Z","sha256":"af36530ddc4e7b0f2b0a04bddd5a73692f33e32e0b14ccff174b57acdff3872d","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/225-ilcs-640-1.1","next":"us-il/225-ilcs-640-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
