{"data":{"id":"us-il/30-ilcs-500-30-50","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"30 ILCS 500/30-50","heading":"Mobilization payments.","body":"(a) As used in this Section, \"mobilization payment\" means an advance payment for the preparatory work and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to a project site and for all other work or operations that must be performed or costs incurred when beginning work on a project.\n(b) When a contract under this Code entered into by the Department of Transportation provides for mobilization payments and the contractor is using the services of a subcontractor, the subcontract shall include terms requiring mobilization payments be made to the subcontractor.\nMobilization payments to a subcontractor shall be made on a tiered system based on the initial value of the subcontract:\nSubcontract value Mobilization percentage\nLess than $10,000 25%\n$10,000-$19,999 20%\n$20,000-$39,999 18%\n$40,000-$59,999 16%\n$60,000-$79,999 14%\n$80,000-$99,999 12%\n$100,000-$249,999 10%\n$250,000-$499,999 9%\n$500,000-$750,000 8%\nOver $750,000 7%\n(c) This Section only applies to contracts entered into by the Department of Transportation.","path":["CHAPTER 30 FINANCE","Illinois Procurement Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=532\u0026ChapterID=7\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:18Z","sha256":"398b0e1247acbef67742c9aef6fb3e9fbcdd3fd4e08c46081a85881c640b5012","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/30-ilcs-500-30-45","next":"us-il/30-ilcs-500-30-55"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
