{"data":{"id":"us-il/35-ilcs-200-11-30","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"35 ILCS 200/11-30","heading":"Powers and duties of the certifying board.","body":"Before denying any certificate, the Pollution Control Board shall give reasonable notice in writing to the applicant and provide the applicant a reasonable opportunity for a fair hearing. On like notice to the holder and opportunity for hearing, the Board may on its own initiative revoke or modify a pollution control certificate or a low sulfur dioxide emission coal fueled device certificate whenever any of the following appears:\n(a) the certificate was obtained by fraud or misrepresentation;\n(b) the holder of the certificate has failed substantially to proceed with the construction, reconstruction, installation, or acquisition of pollution control facilities or a low sulfur dioxide emission coal fueled device; or\n(c) the pollution control facility to which the certificate relates has ceased to be used for the primary purpose of pollution control and is being used for a different purpose.\nPrompt written notice of the Board's action upon any application shall be given to the applicant together with a written copy of the Board's findings and certificate, if any.","path":["CHAPTER 35 REVENUE","Property Tax Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=596\u0026ChapterID=8\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:20Z","sha256":"badb3f773235a83315f1feb513284facaad663c772e62289a87d6a75b5a16d1c","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/35-ilcs-200-11-25","next":"us-il/35-ilcs-200-11-35"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
