{"data":{"id":"us-il/410-ilcs-22-50","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"410 ILCS 22/50","heading":"Residency requirement.","body":"(This Section may contain text from a Public Act with a delayed effective date)\n(a) Only requests made by Illinois residents may be granted under this Act.\n(b) A patient is able to establish residency through any one or more of the following means:\n(1) possession of a driver's license or other identification issued by the Secretary of State or State of Illinois;\n(2) registration to vote in Illinois;\n(3) evidence that the person owns, rents, or leases property in Illinois;\n(4) the location of any dwelling occupied by the person;\n(5) the place where any motor vehicle owned by the person is registered;\n(6) the residence address, not a post office box, shown on an income tax return filed for the year preceding the year in which the person initially makes an oral request under this Act;\n(7) the residence address, not a post office box, at which the person's mail is received;\n(8) the residence address, not a post office box, shown on any unexpired resident hunting or fishing or other licenses held by the person;\n(9) the receipt of any public benefit conditioned upon residency; or\n(10) any other objective facts tending to indicate a person's place of residence is in Illinois.","path":["CHAPTER 410 PUBLIC HEALTH","End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=4646\u0026ChapterID=35\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:34Z","sha256":"026a04895db78ce8ea3ac350e93973d086fdf786a44ea4cd0e38a6c3cc8b4dd9","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/410-ilcs-22-45","next":"us-il/410-ilcs-22-55"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
