{"data":{"id":"us-il/415-ilcs-45-13","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"415 ILCS 45/13","heading":"","body":"Community Water Supply Operators shall be certified in accordance with the following classifications:\n(a) A \"Class A\" Water Supply Operator Certificate shall be issued to those individuals who, in accordance with this Act, demonstrate the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment that are necessary to operate a Class A community water supply in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption, as well as the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment necessary to operate Class B, Class C, and Class D community water supplies in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption.\n(b) A \"Class B\" Water Supply Operator Certificate shall be issued to those individuals who, in accordance with this Act, demonstrate the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment that are necessary to operate a Class B community water supply in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption, as well as the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment necessary to operate Class C and Class D community water supplies in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption.\n(c) A \"Class C\" Water Supply Operator Certificate shall be issued to those individuals who, in accordance with this Act, demonstrate the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment that are necessary to operate a Class C community water supply in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption, as well as the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment necessary to operate a Class D community water supply in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption.\n(d) A \"Class D\" Water Supply Operator Certificate shall be issued to those individuals who, in accordance with this Act, demonstrate the skills, knowledge, ability, and judgment that are necessary to operate a Class D community water supply in a manner that will provide safe, potable water for human consumption.","path":["CHAPTER 415 ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY","Public Water Supply Operations Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1593\u0026ChapterID=36\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:36Z","sha256":"fd4bf7b41c9243ec3a7871fc59a21c89c317a5e990778d3691d647817b817e4b","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/415-ilcs-45-12","next":"us-il/415-ilcs-45-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
