{"data":{"id":"us-il/425-ilcs-10-1","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"425 ILCS 10/1","heading":"","body":"For purposes of this Act, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(a) \"Facility\" means:\n(1) Any long-term care facility as defined in Section 1-113 of the Nursing Home Care Act or any facility as defined in Section 1-113 of the ID/DD Community Care Act, Section 1-113 of the MC/DD Act, or the Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Act of 2013, as amended;\n(2) Any community residential alternative as defined in paragraph (4) of Section 3 of the Community Residential Alternatives Licensing Act, as amended; and\n(3) Any child care facility as defined in Section 2.05 of the Child Care Act of 1969, as amended.\n(b) \"Approved smoke detector\" or \"detector\" means a smoke detector of the ionization or photoelectric type which complies with all the requirements of the rules and regulations of the Illinois State Fire Marshal.","path":["CHAPTER 425 FIRE SAFETY","Facilities Requiring Smoke Detectors Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1630\u0026ChapterID=38\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:37Z","sha256":"269fd9147ee70c48a68f66a9736144455b03dc6b9c88a55fc372fca9e7b79b6f","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/425-ilcs-10-0.01","next":"us-il/425-ilcs-10-2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
