{"data":{"id":"us-il/5-ilcs-490-225","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"5 ILCS 490/225","heading":"Repeals.","body":"(a) The following Acts or parts of Acts are repealed:\nThe American History Month Act.\nThe Arbor and Bird Day Act.\nThe Casimir Pulaski Holiday Act.\nThe Columbus Holiday Act.\nThe Citizenship Day Act.\nThe Mothers Day and Fathers Day Act.\nThe Flag Day Act.\nThe Gold Star Mothers Day Act.\nThe Grandmothers Day Act.\nThe Lincoln Holiday Act.\nThe Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Act.\nThe Senior Citizens Day Act.\nThe Veterans Day Act.\nThe Prairie Week Act.\nThe Retired Teachers Week Act.\nThe Coal Miners Memorial Day Act.\nThe Chaplains Day Act.\nThe Viet Nam War Veterans Act.\n(b) The following Sections are repealed in subsection (a) without being continued in the State Commemorative Dates Act: Section 0.01 (short title) of the American History Month Act, Section 0.01 (short title) and Section 2 (repealer) of the Arbor and Bird Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Casimir Pulaski Holiday Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Columbus Holiday Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Mothers Day and Fathers Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Flag Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Gold Star Mothers Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Grandmothers Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Lincoln Holiday Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Senior Citizens Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) and Section 2 (duplicated by subsection (d) of Section 17 of the Promissory Note and Bank Holiday Act read in conjunction with Section 15 of that Act) of the Veterans Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) and Section 3 (effective date) of the Retired Teachers Week Act, Section 0.01 (short title) and Section 2 (effective date) of the Coal Miners Memorial Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Chaplains Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) of the Citizenship Day Act, Section 0.01 (short title) and Section 2 (effective date) of the Prairie Week Act, and Section 1 (short title), Section 9 (repealer), and Section 10 (effective date) of the Viet Nam War Veterans Act.","path":["CHAPTER 5 GENERAL PROVISIONS","State Commemorative Dates Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=134\u0026ChapterID=2\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:11Z","sha256":"b625f58f7e98a8988575624f1027464a1c5f1327c583d1071a71334b6a464ad2","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/5-ilcs-490-220","next":"us-il/5-ilcs-490-230"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
