{"data":{"id":"us-il/505-ilcs-89-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"505 ILCS 89/10","heading":"Licenses and registration.","body":"(Section scheduled to be repealed on November 12, 2026)\n(a) No person shall cultivate industrial hemp in this State without a license issued by the Department.\n(b) The application for a license shall include:\n(1) the name and address of the applicant;\n(2) the legal description of the land area, including Global Positioning System coordinates, to be used to cultivate industrial hemp; and\n(3) if federal law requires a research purpose for the cultivation of industrial hemp, a description of one or more research purposes planned for the cultivation of industrial hemp which may include the study of the growth, cultivation, or marketing of industrial hemp; however, the research purpose requirement shall not be construed to limit the commercial sale of industrial hemp.\n(b-5) A person shall not process industrial hemp in this State without registering with the Department on a form prescribed by the Department.\n(c) The Department may determine, by rule, the duration of a license or registration; application, registration, and license fees; and the requirements for license or registration renewal.","path":["CHAPTER 505 AGRICULTURE","Industrial Hemp Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=3910\u0026ChapterID=40\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:38Z","sha256":"63d7826c8c82dfbbee883ea2679a6e707874ebd8130cd7a42cec406162b35535","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/505-ilcs-89-5","next":"us-il/505-ilcs-89-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
