{"data":{"id":"us-il/510-ilcs-20-7","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"510 ILCS 20/7","heading":"Administrative hearings and penalties.","body":"When an administrative hearing is held, the hearing officer, upon determination of a violation of this Act or rules or regulations promulgated under it, may levy the following administrative monetary penalties:\n(1) $50 for failure to register annually with the Department.\n(2) $50 for failure to post registration number in the apiary.\n(3) $50 for transporting bees intrastate without a permit.\n(4) $100 for maintaining hives that cannot be readily inspected.\n(5) $100 for transporting bees interstate without a permit.\n(6) $500 for failure to abate colonies infected with bee diseases or exotic strains of bees.\n(7) $500 for violation of a quarantine.\n(8) $100 for any other violation of this Act.\nIn the case of a second or subsequent violation within 3 years of the first offense, the penalty shall be doubled.","path":["CHAPTER 510 ANIMALS","Bees and Apiaries Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1707\u0026ChapterID=41\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:38Z","sha256":"d53d36f21a77641bfe637580aacc5b69bf8eb8b985e2dc18835eb5b8f8640bc3","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/510-ilcs-20-6","next":"us-il/510-ilcs-20-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
