{"data":{"id":"us-il/515-ilcs-5-1-165","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"515 ILCS 5/1-165","heading":"Arrests; warrants.","body":"All authorized employees of the Department and all sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and other police officers shall arrest any person detected in violation of any of the provisions of this Code, including administrative rules. Any duly accredited officer of the Federal Fish and Wildlife Service may arrest any person detected in violation of any of the provisions of this Code, including administrative rules.\nAll officers shall make prompt investigation of any violation of this Code, including administrative rules, reported by any other persons, and shall cause a complaint to be filed in case there seems just ground for a complaint and evidence procurable to support the complaint.\nUpon the filing of a complaint, the officers shall render assistance in the prosecution of the party against whom complaint is made.\nPeace officers, other than employees of the Department, making arrests and serving warrants provided for by this Code shall receive the fees and mileage as provided by law for sheriffs.\nEach duly accredited officer and authorized employee of the Department is empowered to execute and serve all warrants and processes issued by the Circuit Court.","path":["CHAPTER 515 FISH","Fish and Aquatic Life Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1728\u0026ChapterID=42\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:38Z","sha256":"7752ad0154df24ae0ccd2584d70f3185261296a3999162f3d9e3d5f2567b5623","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/515-ilcs-5-1-160","next":"us-il/515-ilcs-5-1-170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
