{"data":{"id":"us-il/55-ilcs-5-3-5046","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"55 ILCS 5/3-5046","heading":"Quitclaim deed notification.","body":"Upon the recording or filing of a quitclaim deed on any property within a county with a population of 3,000,000 or more, the recorder of deeds must mail a notification postcard to the previous owner of record at the address listed on the property record in the recorder's office.\nThe postcard must state that a newly recorded quitclaim deed has been filed on the property, and must state the date of the new recording, the address of the recorder's office, and any other information deemed necessary by the recorder.\nNo county, including a home rule county, may act in a manner inconsistent with this Section.
