{"data":{"id":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-11-1513","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"625 ILCS 5/11-1513","heading":"Bicycle parking.","body":"(a) A person may park a bicycle on a sidewalk unless prohibited or restricted by an official traffic-control device.\n(b) A bicycle parked on a sidewalk shall not impede the normal and reasonable movement of pedestrian or other traffic.\n(c) A bicycle may be parked on the roadway at any angle to the curb or edge of the roadway at any location where parking is allowed.\n(d) A bicycle may be parked on the roadway abreast of another bicycle or bicycles near the side of the roadway at any location where parking is allowed.\n(e) A person shall not park a bicycle on a roadway in such a manner as to obstruct the movement of a legally parked motor vehicle.\n(f) In all other respects, bicycles parked anywhere on a highway shall conform with the provisions of this Code regulating the parking of vehicles.","path":["CHAPTER 625 VEHICLES","Illinois Vehicle Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1815\u0026ChapterID=49\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:40Z","sha256":"50418818284e442ae9b2d6f37c31c431af83b650255159f057b06c868fb1cc38","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-11-1512","next":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-11-1514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
