{"data":{"id":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-18c-4302","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"625 ILCS 5/18c-4302","heading":"Types of Transfers Which May be Approved.","body":"It is lawful, with prior authorization from the Commission, for:\n(1) Two or more motor carriers of property to consolidate or merge their properties into one business entity for the ownership, management, or operation of the properties theretofore in separate ownership;\n(2) A motor carrier of property, or two or more such carriers jointly, to purchase, lease or contract to operate the properties of another such carrier;\n(3) A motor carrier of property, or two or more such carriers jointly, to acquire control of another such carrier through ownership of its stock or otherwise;\n(4) A person not a motor carrier of property, to acquire control of one or more such motor carriers through ownership of its or their stock or otherwise;\n(5) A person not a motor carrier of property and which has control of one or more such carriers to acquire control of another carrier through ownership of its stock or otherwise; or\n(6) A person to acquire possession, ownership, or control, by means of the sale or other conveyance of a license issued by the Commission to another person.","path":["CHAPTER 625 VEHICLES","Illinois Vehicle Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1815\u0026ChapterID=49\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:40Z","sha256":"7419a4cd46048590e16efb1d6b58109b1794d2601993ea21952af7bdafc57f00","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-18c-4301","next":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-18c-4303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
