{"data":{"id":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-6-202","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"625 ILCS 5/6-202","heading":"","body":"Non-residents and Unlicensed Persons-Revocation and Suspension-Reporting Convictions.\n(a) The privilege of driving a motor vehicle on highways of this State given to a nonresident hereunder and the privilege which an unlicensed person might have to obtain a license under this Act shall be subject to suspension or revocation by the Secretary of State in like manner and for like cause as a drivers license issued hereunder may be suspended or revoked.\n(b) The Secretary of State is authorized, upon receiving a report of the conviction in this State of a nonresident driver of a motor vehicle of any offense under the laws of this State relating to operation, custody or ownership of motor vehicles, to forward a copy or abstract of such report to the motor vehicle administrator of the State wherein the person so convicted is a resident.\n(c) (Blank.)\n(d) This section is subject to the provisions of the Driver License Compact.","path":["CHAPTER 625 VEHICLES","Illinois Vehicle Code."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=1815\u0026ChapterID=49\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:40Z","sha256":"a8b75ccb5e30b2042ecf91803f9eb4c5c22b8b0a02181e4be56f400ff26c2059","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-6-201","next":"us-il/625-ilcs-5-6-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
