{"data":{"id":"us-il/70-ilcs-3615-2.11","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"70 ILCS 3615/2.11","heading":"Safety.","body":"(a) The Service Boards may establish, enforce and facilitate achievement and maintenance of standards of safety against accidents with respect to public transportation provided by the Service Boards or by Transportation Agencies pursuant to purchase of service agreements with the Service Boards. However, Sections 18c-7401 and 18c-7402 of the Illinois Commercial Transportation Law and all rules adopted by the Illinois Commerce Commission adopted under Sections 18c-7401 and 18c-7402 of the Illinois Commercial Transportation Law shall continue to apply to the Service Boards.\n(b) (Blank).\n(c) The security portion of the system safety program, investigation reports, surveys, schedules, lists, or data compiled, collected, or prepared by or for the Authority under this subsection, shall not be subject to discovery or admitted into evidence in federal or State court or considered for other purposes in any civil action for damages arising from any matter mentioned or addressed in such reports, surveys, schedules, lists, data, or information.\n(d) Neither the Authority nor its directors, officers, or employees nor any Service Board subject to this Section nor its directors, officers, or employees shall be held liable in any civil action for any injury to any person or property for any acts or omissions or failure to act under this Section or pursuant to 49 CFR Part 659 as now or hereafter amended.\n(e) Nothing in this Section alleviates an individual's duty to comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act.","path":["CHAPTER 70 SPECIAL DISTRICTS","Northern Illinois Transit Authority Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=984\u0026ChapterID=15\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:25Z","sha256":"ce218772c0e3807fcd26d22714ddd9c34cc949122f6160440f773ba101a62bae","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/70-ilcs-3615-2.10b","next":"us-il/70-ilcs-3615-2.11.05"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
