{"data":{"id":"us-il/720-ilcs-5-17-11","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"720 ILCS 5/17-11","heading":"Odometer or hour meter fraud.","body":"A person commits odometer or hour meter fraud when he or she disconnects, resets, or alters, or causes to be disconnected, reset, or altered, the odometer of any used motor vehicle or the hour meter of any used farm implement to conceal or change the actual miles driven or hours of operation with the intent to defraud another. A violation of this Section is a Class A misdemeanor. A second or subsequent violation is a Class 4 felony.
