{"data":{"id":"us-il/750-ilcs-22-206","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"750 ILCS 22/206","heading":"Continuing jurisdiction to enforce child-support order.","body":"(a) A tribunal of this State that has issued a child-support order consistent with the law of this State may serve as an initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce:\n(1) the order if the order is the controlling order and has not been modified by a tribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction pursuant to the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act; or\n(2) a money judgment for arrears of support and interest on the order accrued before a determination that an order of a tribunal of another state is the controlling order.\n(b) A tribunal of this State having continuing jurisdiction over a support order may act as a responding tribunal to enforce the order.","path":["CHAPTER 750 FAMILIES","Uniform Interstate Family Support Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=2091\u0026ChapterID=59\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:44Z","sha256":"99ae12fd2c28622a99d5b3b2101abd0273a9f100d510efb7146919d1a7a5dac8","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/750-ilcs-22-205","next":"us-il/750-ilcs-22-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
