{"data":{"id":"us-il/765-ilcs-1026-15-806","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"765 ILCS 1026/15-806","heading":"Escheat of certain abandoned State agency moneys.","body":"Property presumed abandoned where the administrator reasonably believes the owner is a State agency as defined in the Illinois State Auditing Act, shall escheat to the State and shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund if all of the following apply:\n(1) the administrator has provided written notice to the State agency and the Governor's Office of Management and Budget pursuant to subsection (c) of Section 15-504;\n(2) it has been more than 1 year since the administrator first provided written notice to the State agency pursuant to subsection (c) of Section 15-504;\n(3) the State agency has not initiated a claim or otherwise expressed an indication of interest in the property; and\n(4) the administrator provides written notice of the escheat to the Director of the Governor's Office of Management and Budget.","path":["CHAPTER 765 PROPERTY","Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=3794\u0026ChapterID=62\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:46Z","sha256":"6e27f35944889ab5df56817c090fccd6deb1782215a8371b7722c121eb36a476","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/765-ilcs-1026-15-805","next":"us-il/765-ilcs-1026-15-901"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
