{"data":{"id":"us-il/765-ilcs-605-9.4","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"765 ILCS 605/9.4","heading":"Eminent domain proceedings; notice.","body":"After receipt of summons in an action to take or damage a common element, the unit owners' association shall provide to the plaintiff a list of the unit owners, mortgagees and lienholders, and the plaintiff shall provide notice by certified mail to the unit owners, mortgagees and lienholders.\nThe notice shall include the following:\n(1) case name and number and jurisdiction in which the case is filed;\n(2) date of filing;\n(3) brief description of the nature of the case;\n(4) description of the property being damaged or taken;\n(5) statement that the unit owner may petition the court to intervene; and\n(6) statement that the mortgagee or lienholder may petition the court to intervene.\nAn immaterial error in providing notice shall not invalidate the legal effect of the proceeding.","path":["CHAPTER 765 PROPERTY","Condominium Property Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=2200\u0026ChapterID=62\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:45Z","sha256":"359a0c178b4bff8e21edd4afe529c6ad2595fab12ba75d698b5e82634029c44a","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/765-ilcs-605-9.3","next":"us-il/765-ilcs-605-9.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
