{"data":{"id":"us-il/815-ilcs-393-10","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"815 ILCS 393/10","heading":"Requirements applicable to the sale of plastic bulk merchandise containers.","body":"(a) A person who is purchasing 5 or more plastic bulk merchandise containers from the same person shall:\n(1) obtain from that person a record that contains:\n(A) the name, address, and telephone number of the seller of the containers or any consignee of the containers;\n(B) a description of the containers, including the number of the containers to be sold; and\n(C) the date of the transaction; and\n(2) verify the identity of the individual selling the containers from a driver's license or other government-issued identification card that includes the individual's photograph, and record the verification.\n(b) A person purchasing plastic bulk merchandise containers shall, for each transaction in which the person purchases 5 or more plastic bulk merchandise containers, record the method of payment used to purchase the containers.\n(c) A person who pays $5,000 or more for plastic bulk merchandise containers in any single transaction, or in aggregate from any one person or entity over a 7-day period, shall obtain proof of ownership from the seller and shall retain a copy of such proof of ownership.","path":["CHAPTER 815 BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS","Plastic Bulk Merchandise Container Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=3430\u0026ChapterID=67\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:48Z","sha256":"6b8f3ef7305a87d0d31a140d5f42bd5b59f54fd33f09c2a0b8072cc3ed261fbf","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/815-ilcs-393-5","next":"us-il/815-ilcs-393-15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
