{"data":{"id":"us-il/815-ilcs-411-20","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"815 ILCS 411/20","heading":"Enforcement.","body":"(a) The Attorney General or the State's Attorney of the county where the purchaser of a self-administered sexual assault evidence collection kit resides may file a complaint in the circuit court in the county where the alleged offense occurred for:\n(1) injunctive relief to restrain violations of this Act;\n(2) a civil penalty, not to exceed $1,500 for each violation of this Act; and\n(3) any other relief as may be required.\n(b) Upon the commencement of any action under this Section by a State's Attorney, the State's Attorney shall mail a copy of the complaint or other initial pleading to the Attorney General, and upon the entry of any judgment or order in the action, shall mail a copy of the judgment or order to the Attorney General.","path":["CHAPTER 815 BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS","Self-Administered Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit Ban Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=4621\u0026ChapterID=67\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:48Z","sha256":"4a12307a6c61d79277b91bb071a579f75229b0349e66ffc07124a72b31040a2b","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/815-ilcs-411-15","next":"us-il/815-ilcs-411-99"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
