{"data":{"id":"us-il/820-ilcs-140-8.5","jurisdiction":"us-il","citation":"820 ILCS 140/8.5","heading":"Notification.","body":"(a) Every employer covered by this Act shall post and keep posted, in one or more conspicuous places on the premises of the employer where notices to employees are customarily posted, a notice, to be provided by the Director of Labor, summarizing the requirements of this Act and information pertaining to the filing of a complaint. The Director of Labor shall provide copies of summaries and rules to employers upon request without charge.\n(b) An employer with employees who do not regularly report to a physical workplace, and instead work remotely or travel for work, shall also provide the notice by email to its employees or on a website, regularly used by the employer to communicate work-related information, that all employees are able to regularly access, freely and without interference.\n(c) Failure to provide notice as required by this Section shall be deemed a violation of this Act.","path":["CHAPTER 820 EMPLOYMENT","One Day Rest In Seven Act."],"source_url":"https://www.ilga.gov/legislation/ILCS/details?ActID=2407\u0026ChapterID=68\u0026ChapAct=FullText\u0026Print=True","current_through":"at least Public Act 104-790","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-15T04:46:49Z","sha256":"d8af1dc2bafc2410de419e0e0417fa931887357900ebf3f5c573565692dff5d4","source_id":"us-il","stale":false,"prev":"us-il/820-ilcs-140-8","next":"us-il/820-ilcs-140-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
