(a) A member of the governing board may be removed from office for neglect of duty, incompetency, inability to perform duties, or other good cause by an order of the circuit court, superior court, or probate court in the county in which the authority is located, subject to the procedure in subsection (b).\n(b) A complaint may be filed by any person against a member setting forth the charges preferred. The cause shall be placed on the advanced calendar and be tried as other civil causes are tried by the court without the intervention of a jury. If the charges are sustained, the court shall declare the office vacant.
