As used in this chapter, \"trauma center\" means a hospital that:\n(1) provides trauma care and has been verified as a trauma center by the American College of Surgeons;\n(2) has been designated a trauma center under a state designation system that is substantially equivalent to the American College of Surgeons verification process, as determined by the state department; or\n(3) has been deemed to be in the process of American College of Surgeons verification pursuant to 836 IAC 1-2.1.","path":["TITLE 16.
